RIPPLES WITH ENHANCED BORDER

This tutorial was written in Paint Shop Pro 9 but any version should work fine
This came about just playing in PSP

Supplies & Filters Needed

Misted PSP Tube
Alien Skin Eye Candy Nature (Ripples) Here

Getting Ready
Open Tube of choice
Duplicate (Shift D) close orginal
Image, Resize
Width = No more than 350
Height = Self Adjust
Edit, Copy
With your Dropper Tool,
Select a Light to Medium color from your tube for foreground
Minimize for now

1.
File, New = Height of your tube plus 10 Pixel
Width 1250 or your preference.

2.
Layers, New Raster Layer
Layers, Arrange, Send to bottom
Selections, Select All.

3.
Working on your new image,
Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection.
Selections, Select None.

4.
Adjust, Blur,
Gaussian, Radius = 15

5.
Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling = Default

6.
Highlight your top layer in your pallet
With your Flood Fill tool, fill with your Foreground color.

Effects, Plugins, Alien Skin Eye Candy Nature, Ripples
Settings
Raindrops
Number of Raindrops 7, Ripple Wavelength 9.63. Time 46.33,
Random Wave Amplitude 16, Random Wave Wavelength 0.10,
Refraction 46, Draw Outside Unchecked, Random seed 1.

8.
Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling
Mirror, Bidirectional

9.
On your layers pallet use the slider and lower
Layer 1 Opacity 64
Layer 2 Opacity 78

10.
Layers, Merge, Merge All.

11.
Effects, Image Effects
Mirror, Bidirectional H +V offset -3

12.
Selection tool, Custom Selections
Top 0
Left 428
Right 472
Bottom 401 or the length of your Background

Edit, Copy
Edit, Paste, Edit Paste as New Image

14.
Working on the New Image you just made,
Effects. 3-D Effects, Inner Bevel
Bevel 12, Width 8, Smoothness 7. Depth 1, Ambience 5,
Shininess 0, Angle 315, Intensity 45, Elevation 30.

Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance.

16.
Leave for now and Maximize your tube.
(If not in your browser) Edit, Copy.
Back to your background,
Selections, Select None.
Edit, Paste, Paste As New Layer

17.
Using your Mover Tool, Move to left and position to your liking.

18.
Effects, 3-D Effects, Drop Shadow.
V+H 0. Opacity 100, Blur 100, Color (Your Foreground Color).

19.
Find the Sidebar we made.
Edit, Copy
Back to your Background
Edit, Paste, Paste As New Layer.

20.
Using Mover Tool, Move the sidebar close to the right side of your tube.

21.
Still on that Layer,
Click on the Deform Tool
Using the Nodes (little red squares)on top and bottom,
Pull each enough so the ends of the sidebar disappear.

Once you have done that, you can click any Tool to make to go away.

22.
Effects, 3-D Effects, Drop Shadow
Same as before
V+H 0. Opacity 100, Blur 100, (Color your Foreground Color).

Layers, New Raster Layer, Add your Watermark

Layers, Merge, Merge All

25
File, Export, JPEG Optimizer
Compression value set to 20 or 25
You are now ready to assemble in Letter Creator or OE
